WELCOME TO MARYLAND WESTERN HORSE ASSOCIATION!!!!
MWHA is an all-breed horse association offering English, Western, Ranch and Speed classes with divisions for riders of all levels. Beginners and new members are always welcome, though you don't have to be a member to compete. Spectators are welcome, free parking, free admission. All of our shows take place at the Howard County Fairgrounds, West Friendship, MD and run from April to October. We offer fantastic year-end awards at our annual fun-filled banquet in February. We even have a fabulous, fun show at the FAIR!
Our judges are usually carded with associations such as the AQHA, ApHC, APHA and others, though sometimes we will use regional judges.
This year we are partnering with the East Coast Ranch Horse Association to co-point some shows.
We also participate in ApHC ACAAP and APHA PAC.
MWHA exists to promote good sportsmanship and horsemanship among owners and exhibitors. We, as an association encourage learning, friendship, family participation and fun.

We are always in need of volunteers and it helps keep the cost of show fees down so, please continue your generous support of your club.  There is always in need of scribes for the judges and folks to work the gates, trail tear down and speed and ranch round up set up.  If you like to announce we have a spot for you!
